Level 3 Food Allergen Management Course (RQF)
This Level 3 Award in Food Allergen Management qualification builds on the knowledge covered in Level 2 Food Allergen Awareness, which is aimed at food handlers in the catering industry.
The Level 3 is one-day course is aimed at supervisors and managers, and is supported by Allergy UK, who regard it as suitable staff training for catering outlets that wish to apply for their Allergy Aware Scheme.

- Symptoms of allergic reaction and intolerances
- Common food allergens and foods causing intolerance
- Manager’s role and responsibilities in ensuring food allergens are effectively managed
- Ingredient and allergen management procedures
- Communication of ingredient information from supplier to consumer
- Contamination controls from purchase to service
- Staff training
- Food ingredient control, monitoring and recording
