Level 3 First Aid at Work Course
The objective of this qualification is to support learners to become first aiders in the workplace. The content of the qualification meets the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and the Health and Safety Executive Northern Ireland (HSENI) requirements for training first aiders in those organisations that have identified that staff need to be trained to this level within their first-aid needs assessment.

Level 3 First Aid at Work Contents
- Roles and responsibilities of the first aider
- Primary and secondary survey
- Treating a breathing, unresponsive casualty
- Treating a non breathing, unresponsive casualty (CPR)
- Treating seizures
- Treating a casualty with chest pains
- Recognising a casualty having a stroke
- Treating a chocking casualty
- Treating different types of bleeds
- Treating a casualty going into shock
- Treating burns and scalds
- Treating poisons
- Managing a severe allergic reaction
- Recognising and treating asthma and low blood sugar
- Managing head injuries and spinal injuries
- Managing a casualty with broken bones and dislocations

This course is accredited by Highfield Qualifications and regulated by Ofqual.
